Gal Gadot is secret agent Rachel Stone in the action thriller Heart of Stone on 11 August, which looks like a far more interesting outing than her 2021 Netflix action comedy Red Notice. Always a breath of fresh air on screen, Uzo Aduba stars in Painkiller, the limited series about the origins and the aftermath of the American opioid crisis, premiering on 10 August.
From Nigeria, Jagun Jagun arrives on 10 August. The Yoruba epic follows a young man determined to become a powerful warrior who joins an elite army, encountering the wrath of a bloodthirsty warlord and the love of a fierce woman.
On 4 August, South African steamy thriller Fatal Seduction returns for Volume 2 just a few weeks after captivating the world and making it to the coveted global top 10 most-watched series on Netflix for two weeks.
Also one to watch out for the the much-anticipated series One Piece, a live-action adaptation of the popular manga series, on 31 August; not forgetting the 3-part docuseries Depp v. Heard which revisits the much publicised defamation suit between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard on 16 August.
